A while back I started work on creating a wearable wardrobe of period dress . The aim is a collection of wearable clothes with a more historical silhouette. This brown velvet polonaise is the first finished outfit!

It's worn over a set of 18th century style stays and a bum roll!

you never cease to amaze me! i want the entire outfit! are you going to sell it on one of your websites? it's kinda funny that you should post this stuff right after i finished a book that took place in the 18th century(the great and terrible beauty series, which i highly reccomend). what inspired you to do this? and did you have to do alot of research to know how to make the patterns and such?
